Acne could form more commonly in the nose due to the dead skin being shed and the oil being released from your glands. The blockage could occur within one or more hair follicles on the nose that could suffer inflammation and irritation over a period of time and then lead to formation of whitehead, pimple or zit. Simple self-care methods at home could help to stop formation of acne on nose.

Washing your nose and face with light scrubbing with a facial cleanser twice a day could help, but it is equally important to make sure to rinse thoroughly after each wash. The use of a facial cleanser or cream that contains either benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid proves effective in treating and preventing acne in future.

The application of non-comedogenic moisturizers that do not clog the pores and are free of oil helps to treat and prevent acne on nose. Using make-up that is free of oil also helps. Creating a bedtime routine of washing your nose and face before bed, with not touching your nose and face helps to avoid increase of oils, dead skin and bacteria. The use of some tea tree oils also helps.
