You already know what tinnitus is… and you’re sick of it. The incessant ringing and buzzing noises is getting on your nerves 24/7. Most tinnitus sufferers go through a phase where the condition makes them angry and they will do anything for it to go away.

The problem is that there is no cure for tinnitus. You can address the trigger causes and minimize them but the moment you are lax a little, the noises will be back with a vengeance. Does that mean that you throw in the towel and resign yourself to an annoying soundtrack for your life?

Definitely not. There are ways to keep your tinnitus under control. You should experiment with the 3 methods listed below and see what works for you. Bear in mind that no method is perfect for everybody.

What may work wonders for one may have a negligible effect on another. So, give them all a try and keep at it for a while. Don’t expect results overnight. It will take time.

Acupuncture

Did you just roll your eyes? Don’t knock it if you’ve not tried it. Admittedly, it may not work for everyone but it has worked for many people. You will need to choose a licensed acupuncturist who preferably trained or learned the art in China since this is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

You may need to go for about 15 sessions to see a positive effect. The way acupuncture works is by clearing any obstructions you may have in the meridians around the ear. Does that sound complicated? That’s why you will need to find a good acupuncturist.

Consume Supplements

The right supplements when consumed can make a world of difference. The two most common supplements recommended to tinnitus sufferers are B12 and zinc. If consumed daily for 3 to 6 months, preferably in picolinate form, may show positive effects on your tinnitus symptoms.

Research has shown that zinc is ideal for seniors who experience tinnitus due to old age. Vitamin B12 is excellent for those whose tinnitus developed due to their occupation. For the vitamin B12, you will need to consult your doctor to see how you will get it into your system. You may have to receive intramuscular injections.

Gingko

This is a holistic remedy and is one of the most effective ways of treating tinnitus. Of course, it will be more effective if your tinnitus is mild.

Gingko biloba promotes good blood circulation and there will be a healthy supply of blood to the head. This will diminish any tinnitus symptoms that are a result of circulatory issues.

You may consume the Gingko biloba in capsule form for about six weeks. It is so potent that within 10 days you should feel mental clarity. With time, your tinnitus symptoms should improve and when you have it under control, you may just consume about 40 to 60 mg on a daily basis.

Just by trying these 3 methods out, you will be giving yourself a strong chance of gaining the upper hand on tinnitus.

If you are able to stop the ringing or diminish the symptoms till they no longer bother you, in a way, you could say that you’re almost cured. “Almost” being the operative word… but if you can achieve that, it is fantastic and the quality of your life will be better than having to endure tinnitus like an unwelcome family member.

Do give the methods above a try. You may be pleasantly surprised.
