4) Lemons have an amazing ability to peel and bleach. Apply lemon juice over the acne scars with the help of a cotton ball. Let it remain for some hours, while you remain indoors. Do not expose the affected area to the sun because lemon makes the skin sensitive to light.

5) Sandalwood oil soothes the skin and helps in banishing pigmentation. Apply the oil on scarred regions and let it remain overnight. Sandalwood powder and rose water mixture can also be used as an effective antidote to battle acne scars.

6) Most beauty treatments utilize pearl powder, which lightens the colour of the skin. When mixed with honey, this powder can lighten acne scars as well. Use the mixture twice every week for desired results.

7) Another effective solution to treat acne scars can be made by mixing coconut oil with camphor powder. A mixture of tee tree oil and almond oil can also unclog pores and reduce pigmentation, which is caused by acne. Regular use of Vitamin E oil on scars can also lighten then, when applied twice daily.

8) Pigmentation can be lightened with the help of virgin coconut oil too. This oil can be used as a moisturizer, especially on the dry regions of the skin. It also takes care of other skin ailments.

9) The juice of the cucumber plant is another potent astringent and natural cleanser.
