Why water is good for health

You would be surprised to know that water covers about 2 out of 3 parts in the planet earth, and weight loss is just not achieved by just eating right, exercising well and regularly. Most of us may not have realized that water is the potion that helps to lose that extra paunch, with many of us avoiding drinking of water due to the fact that we have to visit the rest room very often. You would again find it interesting to know that your spleen contains 75.5%, saliva contains 95.5% and the red blood corpuscles contain about 68.7% of water. So you would surely be able to realize how important water is for health and it is good to always carry a bottle of fresh and pure drinking water that would make it possible to have good tasting, best quality drinking water.

But it would be a great surprise for you to know that water is definitely good for weight loss and you would soon lose that extra tire you carry around yourself by drinking enough water. You would be further interested in knowing that water is essential for the metabolism of fat that is performed by the liver when it converts stored fats to energy. In addition he liver picks up all the unwanted products from the kidney and could best accomplish this function only when there is enough water. In the absence the body would only store up more fats.

Some are of the opinion that caffeine helps before an exercise schedule, but this is far from the truth as be caffeine is a diuretic that also leads to increase in the rate of heart beat and leads to fewer calories being burnt. In addition it is best to not assume that alcohol, fruit juices, sports drinks and soft drinks would help, for it is only water or any alkaline minerals that can helps to flush out the toxins generated by exercise. In addition most of these drinks carry very high calories.

To conclude, the concept of drinking 8 glasses of water a day can be extended to mean to drink 8 glasses for every 25 pounds of excess weight, with the amount increased if you live in real hot places and are in the habit of doing intensive exercise.  Spreading your water consumption throughout the day, with taking sips in between would make you truly realize is water good for weight loss.
